Lois H. Gresh, The Hunger Games Companion (via whendaymeetsdark)
I am going to be an overly obsessed fan and tell you to read The Hunger Games. It’s not the best writing in the world, but the themes Suzanne Collins presents and the connections you can make is great for discussion. Romance, although a favorite part of the books, isn’t entirely focused on even though it is integral. However, it had the potential to be something more than being subjected to the realm of teen fiction and Twilight association, which is the one thing that irked me the most. It could have been Aldous Huxley/George Orwell status if the writer really tried.
My sister, brother, and I have already gone crazy. We’re discussing these books together late at night or via text. CRAY.
